WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
Are you Queen’s Heath’s next Susan Boyle? Could you be our next Hear’say?
We are looking for brilliant local queer talent to take part in the first ever Queen’s Heath Pride’s Got Talent on Saturday 14th March 2026. This is a talent show with a live audience from the local community.
On the night each act will perform in front of our queens heath studio audience and receive feedback from a fancy panel of guest judges. The judges will decide which act is the winner after all the contestants have performed.
The winner will receive a £250 cash prize, plus a performance slot on the stage line-up at Queens Heath Pride 2026 and the glory of knowing you are the winner of the first ever QHPGT!
KEY EVENT INFO:
DATE: Sat 14th March 2026.
TIME: 7:30pm – contestants will be required from 5pm.
VENUE: Circus Mash, The Old Church Hall, 2 Vicarage Rd, King’s Heath, Birmingham B14 7RA
The event is a fundraiser for Queen’s Heath Pride, all proceeds from ticket sales will contribute towards the running costs of Queen’s Heath Pride 2026.
ABOUT YOU:
You should be:
- An artist, performer, or group (of no more than 4 people) living in Birmingham.
- A part of the LGBTQIA+ community – it’s Queens Heath Pride’s Got Talent babs, we want to celebrate acts from our community.
- Over the age of 18 (there’s no upper age limit).
- Pretty damn good, and excited to perform for a big crowd of local queers.

Your act should be:
- Any performance form including, but not limited to, live music, drag, spoken-word, stand-up comedy, dance, magic, performance art, circus etc.
- No longer than 5 minutes long.
- Easy and quick to set up, we cannot accommodate any large set/prop pieces or specific technical requirements outside of the basic tech set up outlined below.
- There’s no specific theme or brief, we want to see what you do best – entertaining, political, personal, down-right bonkers – we want it all, however the act should be suitable for performance on a public stage at Queens Heath Pride for a mixed age audience.
AVAILABLE TECH SET UP:
- Wired handheld microphones.
- Basic input for guitar/piano
- Playback for audio (eg. backing/performance tracks)
We cannot accommodate AV requests eg. projections/video.
A note on instruments: we can accommodate acoustic instruments or an electric guitar or keyboard. We are not able to support acts with drum-kits or full band set ups
APPLICATION PROCESS:
To become a contestant, please complete this short application form to tell us about you, your act, and a few bits of key information.
We have space for ten contestants to take part in the event. The Queen’s Heath Pride organising group will shortlist all the applications to make the final selection for contestants.
Please be aware there is no fee for participation in the show, only the winner will receive a cash prize of £250.
