Trans people across the UK are facing increasingly hostile socio-political, legislative, and bureaucratic environments. We want to ensure that everyone in the Birmingham area has access to clear, understandable, and reliable information to support their decision making.
The resources listed here predominantly come from queer and trans-led initiatives. We must resist the criminalisation and restriction of access to medication.

- TransActual : Information and advocacy on healthcare access for trans people.
- GP FOI Spreadsheet: Freedom Of Information requests to every GP surgery in Birmingham. Requests seek transparency on their policies and guidance for treating trans patients.
- Anne Health: Accessing Gender Affirming Care Toolkit: This toolkit offers helpful information and resources for adults (18+) exploring trans+ care pathways in England. It includes both NHS and non-NHS options.
- LITTLE BACKPOCKET GUIDE TO Puberty Supressing Hormones: This guide is for you if you want to know more about puberty-suppressing hormones – specifically, GnRH analogues.

- DIY HRT Directory: This website intends to teach transgender people how to safely self-medicate with Hormone Replacement Therapy.
- Bloodproducts: Have pop-up blood testing (for hormone levels) in Brum. They also fundraise to support the delivery of this work.
- Needle Exchange Directory: you can find a list of needle exchanges where you can acquire free, sterile injecting equipment here.
